The Best of Slamdance film series will return to the Jim Santy Auditorium this Thursday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. for a screening of Commune. The film, directed and produced by Jonathan Berman, is a documentary that follows a communal living experiment in a remote, Californian wilderness.
Following Commune s November screening, the Best of Slamdance series will screen another film, In a Nutshell, next month, on Thursday, Dec. 8.

Kimball to host Rockwell exhibit
Starting on Nov. 19, the Kimball Art Center will present, Norman Rockwell: Home for the Holidays, one of a series of traveling exhibitions presented by the Norman Rockwell Museum.
The exhibit features the original tear sheets from many of Rockwell s iconic Saturday Evening Post covers, particularly those with a holiday theme.

Robert Duncan Studios recognized for its design
Robert Duncan Studios, located at 260 East Main Street in Midway, was recognized in the October 2005 issue of Dcor magazine as one of the seven best-designed galleries in the United States. The studio was designed to reflect the aesthetics of Duncan s paintings, and first opened at the beginning of September in 2004.
