On Friday, the Classic Rock All Stars will take the stage at The Marquis on Main Street for a benefit concert supporting three Park City-based youth organizations — the Park City Education Foundation, Park City Ski & Snowboard and the Park City Swimming Boosters.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the show starts at 7:30 p.m.
The concert is the work of Branan Allison, president and majority owner of Source One Events, a Las Vegas-based event production company he founded in 1998.
For more than 25 years, Allison has produced concerts, festivals and corporate events for names such as MGM Resorts, Caesars Entertainment, ESPN and Live Nation.
Allison moved to Park City in 2021 with his wife, Chandra, and their two daughters, Tatum, 16, and Kendyl, 13.
This year has been a milestone for Branan and Chandra.
Chandra will celebrate her 50th birthday; Branan his 60th, and the couple marked their 20th wedding anniversary — an occasion that sparked the idea of an intimate gathering with live music.
“I had originally spoken with Brody (Dolyniuk) about coming to play a small show for 150 guests and me, and he said, ‘absolutely,’” Allison explained. “It was just going to be him and sit at the piano and do a show for us.”
When Allison started looking for a venue, he stumbled upon The Marquis.
“I had thought about doing a benefit concert for some time, and The Marquis could handle it,” he said. “Brody and I had talked about another show that he was doing in town, and he was bringing his entire band.”
The benefit concert then came together.
Both of Allison’s daughters swim with Park City Swimming, and Tatum spent three years with the Park City Ski & Snowboard Freeride Team.
The girls attend Park City School District schools, which benefit from the support of the Park City Education Foundation.
So, net proceeds from the concert will go directly to those three groups.
The music comes courtesy of the Classic Rock All Stars, a group of Las Vegas musicians who have shared stages with some of rock’s biggest names.
The band is fronted by vocalist Dolyniuk, who regularly plays to sold-out crowds in Las Vegas and tours nationally.
Concert-goers can expect a set packed with hits from Led Zeppelin, The Who, Queen, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd and more.
“My goal is to make this an annual event,” Allison said. “I work with a lot of different artists, and we could bring different artists in. My hope is that everyone who shows up is blown away. So when we announce it for year two, people are getting tickets and telling their friends.”
