The primary role of the Summit County clerk is to administer our elections fairly, impartially, and strictly by the book. It should never be partisan. That is why I am supporting Suni Woolstenhulme over Malena Stevens.
Throughout her career, Stevens has been deeply entrenched in partisan politics, serving as a political consultant to left-leaning candidates from one side of the aisle. As a former Planning Commission member and County Council chair, she was an early and vocal supporter of the massive Dakota Pacific project, a development that sparked colossal community pushback and legal fights over the referendum process itself.
We don’t need another clerk with a history of favoring prodevelopment agendas and partisan consulting. We need a neutral arbiter. Suni Woolstenhulme has no track record of partisan activism. She is a reasoned, moderate businesswoman who understands that the Clerk’s Office must operate independently of the County Council. Suni is committed to strict nonpartisan oversight of our elections, ensuring every lawful vote is counted fairly without any hint of political bias.
“Hard to Spell. Easy to Trust.” That is a fitting slogan for Suni Woolstenhulme’s campaign. Please join me in electing her as our next Summit County clerk.
