The Park City Police Department in late August received several reports of parties, including cases involving hot tubs.
The incidents did not appear serious and the circumstances were similar to those often reported during busy times in the community, as was the case recently.
Cases like the recent ones are often logged as suspected disturbing the peace.
The reports included:
- On Sunday, Aug. 30, at 12:31 a.m., a loud party in a hot tub was reported on Park Avenue.
- On Saturday, Aug. 29, at 1:42 a.m., the police received a complaint about what was described as a “loud party” on the upper reaches of Norfolk Avenue.
- On Thursday, Aug. 27, at 11:35 p.m., a party in a hot tub was reported on Rothwell Road.
- On Aug. 27 at 11:13 p.m., loud music was reported on Woodside Avenue. The person who contacted the police was not sure how many people were at the location.
Other incidents reported to the Police Department recently included:
On Sunday, Aug. 30, at 12:58 p.m., someone on Iron Canyon Court reported that bicyclists were riding on a trail adjacent to the person’s property and were seen on the driveway. There are no trespassing signs posted, the police were told. The department logged the case as suspected trespassing.
The police at 12:42 a.m. came across two people described as having open containers of alcohol on a sidewalk outside a Main Street nightclub. An officer informed the two that they could not have the open containers there. The people “threw away their drinks,” the police said.
On Saturday, Aug. 29, at 8:04 p.m., a pickup truck was reportedly seen “doing donuts” in a parking lot on Deer Valley Drive.
The Police Department at 9:51 a.m. received a report of someone finding what was described as a “really nice kids bike” that had been “thrown in the bushes” in the area of Saddle View Way.
Someone on Park Avenue at 1:38 a.m. reported a flat tire. The person told the police they did not have the tool to address the issue.
On Friday, Aug. 28, at 7:40 p.m., a suspected hit-and-run traffic accident was reported in the China Bridge garage. The police were told a Nissan Rogue struck a parked GMC truck. The case involved “serious damage,” the police were told.
An officer moved a sign that had fallen into a road at 1:16 a.m. in the area of the Old Town roundabout.
On Thursday, Aug. 27, at 9:03 p.m., a driver reportedly parked in the road on Main Street. A police officer contacted the person, who immediately moved the vehicle.
Someone reported the smell of natural gas at 12:07 a.m. at a Lowell Avenue residence. The police were told a stove was unplugged. Nobody reported becoming sick from the gas, and the people said they would leave the building, according to public police logs.
On Wednesday, Aug. 26, at 5:46 p.m., a hit-and-run accident was reported on Sidewinder Drive. The police were told a driver “clipped” another vehicle.
Traffic cones were reported at 4:08 p.m. to be “all over the place” on S.R. 248. The police described the cones as creating a traffic hazard.
Contractors at 1:03 p.m. were reported to be “blocking” a road near Telemark Drive and Daystar Circle with vehicles. The police were told the person who contacted the agency “asked them to move,” but they were “not moving,” according to public police logs. The police indicated the case involved a suspected traffic hazard.
On Tuesday, Aug. 25, at 9:15 p.m., a chair was reported in a S.R. 248 travel lane. The police indicated the chair created a traffic hazard.
On Monday, Aug. 24, at 11:05 p.m., a road-closed sign was reported to have been either moved or overturned in the area of Park Avenue and Snow Creek Drive. The signs were put back.
A toolbox was reported to be in the road on Park Avenue outside the police station at 6:47 p.m. The police said the tools created a traffic hazard.
A moose was seen on the ground at 6:40 p.m. along Prospector Avenue. The police were told people were gathering to look at the animal.
Someone at 3:36 p.m. reported an issue with a stoplight at the intersection of Park Avenue and Deer Valley Drive. The person indicated they were at the stoplight through four cycles of the lights and “didn’t get a left turn arrow,” according to public police logs. The police described the circumstances as creating a traffic hazard.
The police at 2:27 p.m. received a report from someone saying they were on a balcony but locked out of the rest of the Park Avenue building. The person indicated the front door was not locked and needed “someone to go in and let her back in,” according to public police logs.
The Police Department at 12:57 p.m. received a report of a large drone operating above or close to Gilt Edge Circle. The police described the circumstances as suspicious.
A tree reportedly fell along Holiday Ranch Loop Road at 10:50 a.m. and blocked much of the road. The police described the tree as creating a traffic hazard.
