The Park City Police Department received a recent complaint about a drone flying above a neighborhood.
The police received the report at 1:36 p.m. on Sunday on High Street. The drone was reportedly seen above a house and “hovering close to” a backyard.
The drone camera was apparently pointed toward the person who contacted the police, who indicated there is “video proof,” according to public police logs. The department described the circumstances as suspicious.

On Sunday, Aug. 23, at 10:45 p.m., a tree reportedly “blew over” into a trail lane on Lucky John Drive. The police described the tree as creating a traffic hazard.
A traffic accident was reported at 6:06 p.m. close to the intersection of Kearns Boulevard and Monitor Drive.
A deer, described as suffering from a broken leg, was reported at 3:55 p.m. near the intersection of Little Kate Road and Evening Star Drive. The police were told the animal may have needed to be put down because of the injury.
A hit-and-run traffic accident was reported in Park City at 10:49 a.m., near Holiday Village. The police were told one of the drivers was “cut off, and it took their bumper off in the process.”
At 1:24 a.m., a police officer came across what was described as a “large crowd in the road” around Main Street and Heber Avenue. The police said the people were arguing and that an officer “de-escalated the situation.” The agency logged the case as suspected disorderly conduct.
On Saturday, Aug. 22, at 8:36 p.m., lights in a room at a lodging property along Main Street were reported to be “just blinking on and off.” The police were told the issue had been ongoing for two days.
At 7:21 p.m., the police received information about water that appeared to be “shooting out from the roof” at the Park City School District campus. The person who contacted the police described there being a “large spout of water.”
On Friday, Aug. 21, at 4:46 p.m., a dog bite was reported on Main Street. The police were told the pet owner did “not want to take responsibility,” according to public police logs. The parties were at the scene when the police were notified.
At 3:14 p.m., the police received a report of an injured deer on Calumet Circle. The animal was “hopping around on three legs,” the police were told. Public police logs did not provide details about the cause of the injury.
On Thursday, Aug. 20, at 12 p.m., a person reportedly became “stuck” in an elevator on Rothwell Road. The police described the case as an elevator rescue.
The police at 11:16 a.m. received a complaint about a construction crew truck “blocking the whole road” without warning or cones at the Woodside Avenue location. The Police Department indicated the case involved a traffic hazard.
The Police Department at 7:28 a.m. received information about a man sleeping in what was described as a “little red shed” on Kearns Boulevard. The man appeared to be “sketchy,” the police were told. The department logged the case as suspected vagrancy.
On Wednesday, Aug. 19, at 4:45 p.m., natural gas service to a house was “hit” on Red Cloud Trail. The provider was contacted.
A suspected violation of Park City’s rules against engine idling was reported at a trailhead along S.R. 224 in Empire Pass.
On Tuesday, Aug. 18, at 9:21 pm., someone reported construction noise, apparently on Little Kate Road. The police classified the case as suspected disturbing the peace.
A driver reportedly collided with a deer at 7:16 p.m. on S.R. 224.
On Monday, Aug. 17, at 2:24 p.m., a minivan was reported to have been left running for an hour in a Crescent Road driveway. The police logged the case as a suspected violation of municipal rules against engine idling.
The Police Department at 6:53 a.m. received a report of a man, described as homeless and without a shirt, “leaning against” a wall along Iron Horse Drive. The person who contacted the agency told the police they were worried about the cold temperature, according to public police logs.
