The Park City Police Department in mid-July received a report of a collision between a driver and a deer, as well as another report that involved circumstances that sometimes point to an accident.
On Saturday, July 18, at 9:34 p.m., a collision between a driver and a deer was reported in the area of S.R. 224 and Holiday Ranch Loop Road. The deer, described as small, “ran in front of” the vehicle, the police were told. The deer was killed, and the carcass was in the road at the time of the report to the police.
On Thursday, July 16, at 8:48 a.m., a deer, described as young, was seen on a side of Park Avenue. The animal appeared “to be suffering,” the police were told. Public police logs did not provide details about the circumstances.
On Monday, July 13, at 6:44 a.m., meanwhile, five sheep were reported to be loose off Kearns Boulevard in the area of PC Hill. They were grazing, the police were told.
