Utah Junior High State Rodeo Finals

Where: Heber City 
(26 minutes from Park City)
When: May 20-23

Talented young students from across the state showcase their skills and compete for top spots in barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying, breakaway roping, and cow cutting. The adrenaline continues with bull riding, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, tie down roping, steer wrestling, and team roping. Plus, the weekend features NRA shooting competitions for high school and junior high rifle and high school trap.

Strawberry Days Rodeo

Where: Pleasant Grove

When: June 17-20

Get ready for top-tier Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) action where the very best cowboys and cowgirls face off in classic rodeo competitions. Oakley Independence Day Rodeo

Where: Oakley
(20 minutes from Park City) 
When: July 1-4 

This long-standing community event dates back to the 1930s and has been going strong in the Kamas Valley for decades. The PRCA-sanctioned event means heart-pounding bull riding, barrel racing, and bareback bronc riding. And since it takes place over Independence Day, be sure to take in the parade, fireworks, and other fun festivities. 

Ute Stampede Rodeo

Where: Nephi
(1.5 hours from Park City)
When: July 8-11

Celebrating 92 years in action, the Ute Stampede Rodeo features the PRCA Extreme Bulls Tour showcasing the top bull riders in the world. Team roping and bronc riding are also included along with carnival rides, live music, food, and the crowning of the rodeo queen. 

Ogden Pioneer Days

Where: Ogden
(1.5 hours from Park City)
When: July 18-24

Ogden Pioneer Days honors Utah’s pioneer heritage and remains one of Utah’s largest and most prestigious rodeos. This event has everything you would want from a rodeo, including steer wrestling and barrel racing. In addition, the Miss Rodeo Utah pageant is held during the Ogden Pioneer Days.

Days of ’47 Rodeo

When: July 21-25

Celebrate Utah’s rich pioneer heritage at the Days of ’47 Rodeo as part of local Pioneer Day festivities. The historic event holds the exclusive title of the world’s only Gold Medal Rodeo and serves as a premier stop on the PRCA Gold Tour, attracting the finest competitors from across the country. 

Mountain Valley Stampede Rodeo

The Mountain Valley Stampede Rodeo, including mutton busting, dovetails with Wasatch County Fair Days and rounds out a week of family fun.

The Wasatch County Fair includes a carnival and a livestock auction, as well as a three-day demolition derby, which offers significant prize money.

Summit County Fair

Where: Coalville

When: August 1-8

During the first full week of August, scenic Coalville puts on the Summit County Fair. Experience the ultimate traditional small town fun with bucking broncos, the Little Buckaroo Rodeo, and demolition derby. Guests can also explore local lifestyle exhibits featuring beautiful flowers, garden-fresh vegetables, homemade canned goods, and the crowning of local beauty queens. Admission is free. 

Weber County Fair

Where: Ogden

When: August 5-8

The Weber County Fair is a longtime summer favorite. From thrilling PRCA rodeo events and a lively carnival to livestock showcases and live music, the fair brings together a wide range of attractions for all ages. Set at the Golden Spike Event Center in Ogden, the event is a great pick for families who want to wander, have fun, and soak up the summer atmosphere.
