I want to think I am trying to be one.
I am the Forward Party candidate for Utah Senate District 20. I have spent 24 months building a doctrine, not a slogan.
A water doctrine that puts real local control upstream of federal deadlines, not just reactions to them.
A MIDA reform package that restores affirmative local consent from every affected county, city and school district before any project area is created or expanded.
A data-center position framed as done right, not done stupidly. Friendly to the industry. Loyal to the Uinta Basin. A permit does not create water. Infrastructure does.
A position against the public infrastructure districts being proposed in Heber that import the same playbook MIDA has used to grow from 40 acres of military land at the Jordanelle in 2012 to roughly 5,000 acres of resort, hotels and golf today.
Don Rogers asks who else in otherwise compliant Utah would call BS on the data-center dream. I have been doing it on the public record since the Nine Mile hearing.
The Wasatch Back, the Uinta Basin, the headwaters of the Great Salt Lake and every small town being asked to absorb the cost of someone else’s profit are the same fight. Senate District 20 is the front line.
