Summer in Park City makes you want to slow down and actually taste where you are as every restaurant, market, and farm stand comes alive. This itinerary provides a full day of eating and drinking your way through the best the town has to offer, from that first morning coffee to a long dinner on the farm.

A Bright Start at Hill’s Kitchen

There’s no better way to start a mountain morning than with a really good cup of coffee. Hill’s Kitchen pulls beans from Idle Hands and pairs them with housemade pastries worth waking up early for. It’s a cozy, unhurried spot where you actually want to sit for a while before the day takes over.

Get the latte and pair it with the ratatouille danish—summer squash, zucchini, and tomato-onion-basil jam tucked into flaky pastry. If you’re leaning sweet, the blueberry challah French toast will not let you down.

Stroll the Park City Farmers Market

By mid-morning, head over to the Park City Farmers Market. Every Wednesday through the summer at Park City Mountain Village, local farmers, makers, and food producers set up and it’s easy to find yourself wandering for longer than planned.

Tables are loaded with heirloom tomatoes, crisp greens, and fruit that actually tastes like summer. Grab something for the trail later, and if you have time, talk to the vendors; a lot of them supply the best restaurants in town, and they love sharing all the details about what they grow.

A Trailside Picnic from Luna’s Kitchen

When lunch rolls around, skip the sit-down and take your meal outside instead. At Luna’s Kitchen, everything is made from scratch with real ingredients, and it packs up perfectly for the trail.

Load up on salads, sandwiches, and a cold-pressed juice, then find a scenic overlook and eat like you earned it.

“For a summer hike, I would pack our chicken or tuna salad, a couple of our protein cacao bites and one of our house cold-pressed juices,” owner Stacy Smyth suggests. “I choose the salads because they are compact, protein-packed, and keep me satiated. The protein bites give me a little boost during the hike, and a juice keeps me hydrated and gives my body the vitamins and minerals it needs to keep up my endurance on a long hike.”

One of Smyth’s go-to weekly hikes starts from Townlift, up Sweeney’s Switchbacks to John’s Trail, then on to John’s 99 and then down Mother Urban. This usually takes 2-1/2 hours.

Afternoon Cocktails at St. Regis

Once the afternoon starts to cool down, take the funicular up to the St. Regis Deer Valley. You can come straight off the trail—no wardrobe change required. The outdoor terrace looks out over the entire valley and it’s one of those views that stops you mid-sentence.

The St. Regis Deer Valley 7452 Bloody Mary

Combine:
16 oz. can tomato juice
¼ cup lemon juice
¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
¼ cup cornichon juice
2 tsp. horseradish
1 tsp. Sriracha chili sauce
½ tsp. finely ground black pepper
1 tsp. celery salt
pinch of cayenne pepper
*1.5 oz of your favorite vodka (we suggest Alpine Distilling Persistent Vodka) per drink

For the wasabi celery espuma:
60 g celery juice
a few parsley leaves
2 g wasabi powder
30 g green apple juice
Combine celery juice, parsley, wasabi powder, and green apple juice and blend then strain.

To build:
Rub lime on rim of glass and dip in black Hawaiian salt. Fill glass ¾ with ice and pour mixed ingredients and vodka into glass and stir. Add the wasabi celery espuma as foam on top to serve.
*For a mocktail, simply omit the vodka.

The cocktail menu is worth the trip on its own. Order a botanical gin drink or go for the 7452 Bloody Mary—named after the resort’s elevation and a crowd favorite for good reason (we’ve got the recipe for you too).

Rob Dixon, Master Mixologist at the St. Regis Deer Valley, says, “The 7452 Bloody Mary is a standout and a favorite among hotel guests and visitors, always a year-round crowd-pleaser. The black Hawaiian sea salt adds a smoky and pleasing punch to an excellent drink.”

Sit back, let the mountain breeze cool you down and take a breath before dinner.

Farm-to-Table Dinner at Gracie’s Farm at The Lodge at Blue Sky

End the day at Gracie’s Farm at The Lodge at Blue Sky. Here, they cook what’s actually growing with a genuine respect for the land that reminds you why food matters.

Rooted in regenerative agriculture, you’ll enjoy your meal outside, surrounded by the farm itself. Think tender roots roasted over open fire, sustainably sourced proteins and edible flowers pulled from just a few steps away. It’s beautiful, and it tastes as good as it looks.

The Seasonal Series begins June 25 with “Baby Spring Veg,” a perfect homage to the delicate, fresh produce of early summer. July 23 follows with a celebration of garlic, spotlighting this versatile and flavorful ingredient. On August 27, it’s all about tomatoes, showcasing their rich, sun-ripened flavors. The series culminates with the Harvest Festival weekend filled with gratitude for the season’s crops on September 10 and 11.

The Guest Series is another highlight of summer, where culinary collaborations take center stage. On July 12, Gracie’s Farm pairs with High West for an evening of innovative flavors and beverages. Then, on August 2, the Tupelo team joins Gracie’s Farm to create a memorable dining experience. Each event spotlights the region’s culinary artistry.

“Gracie’s Farm Dinner Series exemplifies the relationship between farmer, chef, land, and community,” Lynsey Gammon, farm director says. “The experiences provide a unique perspective on how local food, grown responsibly and sustainably, can unite us all. Each dinner is a unique immersive experience that cuts out the noise and uncertainty that swirls around the world, and allows for people to relax, commune, and notice the elements that bring us together—food and beauty.”

Park City in summer is so much more than the trails. The food scene here tells a story of farmers who care deeply about what they grow, chefs who know how to let those ingredients shine, and restaurants that serve enough great meals in a single day to make you want to come back and do it all over again.
