As you may have heard by now, Recycle Utah will be moving next year. Summit County and Park City Municipal have worked together to secure our long-awaited future home in Silver Summit, a 4.18-acre parcel more than 10 times the size of our current site on Woodbine Way.
We are extremely grateful for the hard work and commitment that both local governments have put toward making this happen.
We will be packing up and heading five miles north in March 2027, where we will set up a temporary facility on our new lot as construction begins. You’ll be able to bring everything you bring to our Woodbine Way facility to our temporary facility, and our priority is no lapse in service for our community.
While it’s bittersweet to be leaving our home for the past 30 years, we are absolutely ecstatic for the future of our organization, and more importantly, for the future of sustainability in Summit County.
Our community has rallied behind Recycle Utah for the past 35 years, and we are excited to give you the sustainability resources you deserve.
Right now, we are working on finalizing the vision for our new facility. We’re meeting with local organizations and stakeholders so we can maximize collaboration in our future facility.
