Although most of the passes and packages for the 2026 Sundance Film Festival are sold out, there is hope.
Single film tickets will go on sale for $35, plus service fees, each, to the public at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 14, at festival.sundance.org/tickets/in-person.
To purchase tickets, visit estival.sundance.org/how-to-fest/ticketing set up a user account and click on the Tickets tab and follow the instructions.
Once the transaction is complete, ticket-buyers will receive an order confirmation email within several minutes. Note, a ticket does not equal a film festival credential, nor does it grant access to press and industry screenings.
Each ticket is valid for a specific in-person screening from Jan. 22 to Feb. 1, and there are plenty of choices among the 90 feature films, 54 short films and seven episodic projects that have been curated for this year’s festival.
“The program for the 2026 Festival invites audiences to experience intimate character journeys, deeply human stories and compelling explorations of stories from around the globe,” said Sundance Film Festival Director of Programming Kim Yutani in a statement. “Each year, we have the privilege of introducing distinctive storytellers to audiences, and we are grateful to the artists who entrust us with their films at the start of the journey. The upcoming edition will be especially profound in introducing brand-new works while concurrently marking the significance of the many films we have been fortunate to present and gone on to have a long-lasting impact on independent film and culture.”

In addition to purchasing tickets, festival goers can also gift and transfer tickets.
To gift a ticket, the purchasers must set up a free Sundance Film Festival user account, purchase the ticket and can click the This Is a Gift box when they checkout.
All gift-ticket recipients must also set up a Sundance Film Festival user account to access these tickets.
To transfer a purchased ticket, ticket-buyers should log onto their account, click My Schedule and find the ticket for the screening they want to transfer.
Once there, they can select Transfer Tickets and enter the intended recipient’s email address.
Buyers also must know that purchasing a ticket doesn’t guarantee a seat, because the theaters are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
To secure a seat, ticket holders should be in the appropriate lines at least 15 minutes before the screenings start time.
The 2026 Sundance Film Festival runs Jan. 22-Feb. 1 in person in Park City and Salt Lake City, with the at-home program available online from Jan. 29-Feb. 1. For information, visit festival.sundance.org.
