This Saturday, bilingual public radio station Avanza is inviting Park City residents to meet its team and learn about upcoming programming and partnerships. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to noon at Booster Juice Park City, 1890 Bonanza Dr., Suite 108.
Attendees will be able to chat with the Avanza team over a smoothie or cup of coffee, ask questions, enter an opportunity drawing for a $25 gift card and learn about bilingual programming the station is working on. Station-branded “mug stop” swag will also be available in exchange for donations, said Avanza founding program director Edgar Zúñiga.
This event builds on Avanza’s broader mission as a bilingual, bicultural voice for Utah Latinos. Following the station’s launch event in Salt Lake City earlier this year, the Park City stop is part of its drive to deepen local presence in the Wasatch Back.
The station’s aim is not only to report news, but to illuminate why it matters, particularly for bilingual and bicultural audiences in Utah. Learn more at: avanzautah.org.
