Following the success of the No Kings 2 national day of protest and numerous election victories for Democrats, veterans and allies are calling for a visible show of allegiance to the Constitution — not to any individual.
Veterans and supporters have organized the Overpass Banner Challenge for Veterans Day, a peaceful, nationwide action to visibly affirm allegiance to the Constitution. “After No Kings 2, there was tremendous energy and a shared desire to keep speaking out,” said a veteran and organizer from Washington State. A spokesperson for the organizing veterans’ group said, “Veterans Day is the perfect moment to remind the country of the oath we took — and who that oath is really to.”
The effort is being coordinated by several national visibility networks, including the Visibility Brigade, Operation Overpass, and Backbone Campaign.
The We Believe Visibility Brigade, one of over 300 Visibility Brigade chapters, is based in Park City and is proud to display messages supporting veterans’ oaths to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
