Artist and interior designer Eleanor Ramirez, owner of Incredible Dwellings & Beyond, is moving her Salt Lake City showroom and design office to Park City, with a grand opening set for Nov. 8. The multidisciplinary studio merges her passions for art, interiors, furniture and floral design, reflecting her holistic approach to creating spaces that are both functional and inspiring.
Before establishing her Salt Lake City showroom, Ramirez — who emigrated from the Philippines, where she was a biology professor — began her design career in Park City. Here, she dove into the world of staging, bringing an intuitive, personal approach to each space. Since then, she has worked on numerous residential and large-scale commercial projects and founded a nonprofit that provides single mothers with furniture and design support.
Now, as she prepares to relocate Incredible Dwellings & Beyond back to where her journey began, Ramirez’s new showroom is designed to reflect both her evolution as a designer and her continued commitment to service-driven creativity.
“I love creating things,” Ramirez said. “I love putting things together in a different way because my design is very unorthodox, similar to my art. I want people to feel that what I create is one of a kind — something they haven’t seen before — and to connect with it even if they don’t buy anything. I want them to come, be inspired, and feel something.”
The grand opening will provide a first look at the refreshed space, her latest interior collections, and the expanded vision for her studio’s next chapter, along with the opportunity to enjoy traditional Filipino food, she said. The event will also debut Ramirez’s newest art series, showcased in a dedicated gallery section of the store where she plans to feature her own work along with the work of other local artists.
“It’s going to be fun,” Ramirez said, “Every single time I come here I’m excited, every single time I’m home, too, my brain won’t stop reimagining things. Even in my sleep, I’m still designing.”
For her, opening in Park City has been a long time coming. She had been looking for a space “forever,” she said, and when the former Robert Kelly Home location became available, it felt like one of many signs that the timing was finally right.
Ramirez envisions Incredible Dwellings & Beyond as more than a showroom, but a place where everyone who walks through the door feels welcome and finds inspiration, she said. Each display, from murals to textural wall art created by Ramirez and her team, will evolve over time, encouraging visitors to return and discover something new every time.
Ramirez said self-expression is at the core of her work — a belief that staying true to herself allows her to see beauty in unexpected places and create something original. It’s not uncommon for her to spot an intriguing object and take it home, knowing it might one day become part of a new creation when the timing feels right.
Her identity and heritage, she added, are inseparable from her art and design — a reminder that authenticity isn’t just a style, but a way of life.
“As a person of color, I want to be more embracing of who I am and not diluting that just to be accepted and just to blend in,” Ramirez said. “I don’t want to blend in, I don’t want to just be part of a statistic. I want people to know that I love my origin, that I embrace it, that I will remain authentic.”
Ramirez said she strives to fully embrace who she is without conforming or blending in, proud of her roots and committed to staying true to them in everything she creates.
“I want to matter. And to matter means you have to be authentic,” Ramirez said. “You have to be really true to yourself, no matter what the judgment is. Don’t give up who you are, because if you do, then you look at yourself in the mirror and maybe you don’t even know yourself anymore.”
This concept extends to her clients and customers, including those visiting the floral studio. Ramirez encourages people to bring in their favorite vase or container so she can create personalized arrangements.
She said she wants Park City residents to see that design doesn’t have to be “copy-and-paste” — it can be layered, personal, and still feel luxurious.
Ramirez said she draws inspiration from nature — leaning on her background in biology — and favors organic movement over rigid design rules. Guided by a focus on biophilic design, she combines materials in ways that feel natural, pairing stone with fabric, metal with wood, to create spaces that connect to the landscape.
For her, luxury isn’t about the price tag but the intention and harmony between elements.
As the team ties up the final details in preparation for the grand opening, Ramirez credits her tight-knit crew for making it all possible. She said the trust they share allows them to work in harmony and solve problems creatively, often finding ways to execute her ideas without overspending.
“There’s so much trust in my team,” she said. “I can’t do these things without them.”
The grand opening of Incredible Dwellings & Beyond will take place Saturday, Nov. 8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1764 Uinta Way, Unit G1.
