Interesting that Don Rogers is Ryan Dickey’s PR person. This election may not seem “nice” to you, but it is because this city is at a turning point. A disaster with developers ruling the council and mayor’s office. Mr. haggarty wrote about Ryan Dickey’s record as a councilman. Did you read it? All that voting for development and he stated he wanted development on the Clark Ranch property.
The council has spent $$$$ on surveys that have all stated the citizens want traffic controlled and a plan, but the council has not been transparent about anything. In fact, at the meeting on the Bonanza project this week, my friends who attended stated they were astounded to hear what they thought were completed project plans, and they had pictures of all the affordable houses that will be built … really! First of all, as an editor you should be reporting on what the City Council has passed, the numbers on how much affordable housing has been built and occupied, how much money the city gets from the Feds for this. How much money the city receives from the Feds to run two bus services which hardly anybody uses; what part of the franchise tax fee we pay in our Snyderville Basin bill goes to in the city, etc., instead of doing a PR piece on a candidate who is a Realtor and an HOA management company owner who might benefit from all this development.
Yes, citizens are up in arms as our property taxes go up, our water bills are going up and we are restricted with our usage; and we have traffic snarls pretty much all year round. It is people like Ryan Dickey who vote for more development.
Wake up, park city voters, as we are facing disaster!
