Belated thanks to the anonymous good Samaritan in Park City who found and returned my wallet lost at Walgreens the evening of Sept. 6. I’d stopped there in a rush in advance of heading to the third annual Mountain Mettle Boxing and Charity Event, hosted by RISE Boxing, which supports youth boxing scholarships and therapeutic programs for people with Parkinson’s disease.
I’d like to express my genuine gratitude for this person’s honesty and kindness. What a huge relief! All contents were there, both credit cards and cash, a great reminder in these tumultuous times that there are many great and good people who live by the Golden Rule.
My sincere thanks also go to the Park City Police Department through whom my wallet was returned. The very courteous officer went out of his way to get it back to me quickly. Coming in from out of town, this enabled us to go to dinner after the sporting event and charity fundraiser for which we came to Park City that evening.
I have made a donation to the Park City Community Foundation as a payback for this community member’s kindness and good will. High regards to all.
