Meet Hill Top Hospitality’s New Pastry Chef Erin Taylor

Hill Top Hospitality, the group behind Hearth and Hill, Urban Hill, and Hill’s Kitchen in Park City and Salt Lake City, has recently welcomed Erin Taylor as the new pastry chef. Taylor, a Texas native whose love for baking began on a whim and evolved into a calling, is bringing her creativity and signature flair to all the restaurants’ dessert menus.

“I want to bring fresh energy and ideas to the pastry case,” she says. “We’re going to let classics shine but add new twists that reflect my background and what excites me in the kitchen.”

After graduating from Le Cordon Bleu, Taylor sharpened her skills in Austin’s celebrated culinary scene, where she became enamored with the precision and artistry of classic French pastries and the science behind naturally leavened breads.

Trading Texas heat for Park City snow, she followed her fiancé to Utah and quickly made her mark in Park City’s finest kitchens, including Stein Eriksen Lodge and the Bill White Restaurant Group.

She envisions elevating the dessert programs with plated French-inspired classics, indulgent cakes, and playful touches of her South Texas roots and Asian influences. Think rich chocolatey showstoppers, seasonal rotating sundaes with fresh local ingredients like roasted peaches, and an expanded lineup of pies and cakes to satisfy every sweet tooth.

Sit down at any of Hill Top’s restaurants to see what’s baking this fall and expect bold, innovative desserts that reflect Park City’s vibrant food culture.

Alpine Distilling Brings the Scent of the Outdoors In

极速168赛车官方网站图片

Alpine Distilling recently released the Botanical Forest diffuser, a home fragrance creation by Master Botanical Distiller Sara Sergent, that captures the essence of Park City’s natural surroundings. Featuring notes of juniper, fir balsam, Scotch pine, cardamom, and pepper, the diffuser delivers a sensory experience inspired by botanical gardens and Alpine’s award-winning Elevated Gin.

“Our gin is so great because the aroma and taste are great, so the next logical step was to create aroma,” Sergent explains. “We’ve experimented and explored aromas in the past—we’ve made candles and hand sanitizer. We’re leaning into that aromatic space.”

Created in collaboration with Jen Tudor of Indigo Highway in Park City for packaging and artwork by Christy Frank Art in Nashville, this diffuser is a creative way to experience Sergent’s botanical genius. Combining her expertise in distillation, her fragrance training with London perfumery Floris, and her studies in medicinal plants from Cornell University, the diffuser merges scent and science seamlessly.

“The inspiration is this beautiful place we choose to live in,” Sergent shares. “It really has a lot of magic.”

The Botanical Forest diffuser is available in limited supply at Alpine Distilling’s Social Aid and Pleasure Club for $40. The Edge Spa at the Lodge at Blue Sky also offers a private-label edition of the diffuser.
