Park City Mountain and the Park City Lift Maintenance Union have announced a new tentative labor agreement to last through May 1, 2028. With a unanimous recommendation from their committee, the union is now voting to ratify the contract.
“Park City Mountain and the Park City Lift Maintenance Union are pleased to announce that we have reached a new tentative agreement through May 1, 2028,” the two parties said in a joint statement issued on Friday. “The union’s bargaining committee is unanimously recommending ratification by its members. Until contract ratification, neither party will be accepting media requests.”
This contract comes nearly two years after the union finalized its first two‑year agreement with Vail Resorts in December 2023, marking the first lift maintenance union agreement in U.S. ski resort history. The Park City Mountain lift maintenance team also became the first in the country to unionize after petitioning for representation in 2022.
That initial 2023 contract included standardized pay increases, enhanced safety procedures and a more formal structure for scheduling and training. If approved, the new agreement would extend their agreed-upon terms through the next three years.
