This July 25-27, a campaign led by Park City Leadership alumni Caren Bell suggests that we all slow down, take a deep breath and enjoy acts of kindness in Park City and Summit County.
I couldn’t agree more. When I recently saw two near-misses at the corner of Bonanza Drive and Munchkin Rd, I realized we need to pay special attention to kindness on the road.
Slowing down: Set your speed at the posted speed limit, or even one mile less. It’s more relaxing!
Giving a break to other drivers, especially cars trying to enter or cross the road on busy main arteries like Bonanza Drive. We’ll all get there!
Giving a brake: Our road crews are doing a huge job. Slowing down and thanking them in your heart will make your day.
Taking a deep breath at stoplights: clearing the mind, relaxing your muscles. Enjoy your lungs filling with air. Breath out and release tension.
In all of Summit County we have enjoyable views, great places to go, and loads of things to be thankful for. Any accident will ruin your day.
Be kind to yourself and others on the road.
