Over the last 10 years I have had the pleasure and honor to serve with Beth Armstrong on the governing board of the Park City Hospital. I would like to recommend her to the Park City Council unreservedly and support her candidacy with enthusiasm.
Beth brings a rare combination of strategic thinking and heartfelt compassion. She’s pragmatic, level-headed, and deeply collaborative. I’ve seen her build consensus on difficult issues and facilitate exactly the kind of leadership
Park City needs right now. And I’ve watched her disagree firmly and respectfully when she took a differing view on an issue. She’s not afraid to speak her mind, a critical character trait on the Park City Board.
In more than a decade of working alongside Beth, I have admired her intelligence, compassion, and concern for community access to the best health care we can provide. She is a particularly strong advocate for members of our community who may not speak forcefully for themselves.
For seven years Beth was also executive director of the People’s Health Clinic, during which time the clinic expanded its reach to uninsured members of Summit and Wasatch counties. Her commitment to access to public health is not just professional — it’s personal.
Beth’s broad experience, sharp mind, long experience in our community and deep understanding of Park City’s values make her uniquely equipped to help our community navigate this pivotal time. I cannot think of anyone with a better heart, mind and skill set to represent the people of Park City.
