I have never written to The Park Record or been involved in local politics, but I would like to convey a brief story.
Several years ago my wife and I were traveling and when we returned we found that an errant golf ball had broken one of our windows. We also found a note from Jack Rubin admitting that it was his ball and offering to pay for any repair.
Jack’s note was unexpected but appreciated. We were impressed in that honesty when no one is looking is a good test of the character of a person. We have used this story as a teaching moment with our grandchildren.
I see that Jack is now running for mayor of Park City and I think hearing our story may be helpful as voters consider the many factors necessary in choosing our next mayor.
