In response to the letter published July 2 by Tory Welch: You are out of line, sir.
I find your indignant tirade letter to the editor offensive at best. This is, of course, still a democracy entitling even you to express your opinion. However, why you would find it necessary to viscerally demean others exercising their right to express their beliefs in a unified way? Your actions are well beyond my understanding or acceptance.
Perhaps you may be seeking attention from your party’s committee that might elevate you based on an overt expression of loyalty to them. Whatever, it was hateful and unnecessary.
Leadership is about uplifting circumstances to help people be the best they can be. Not to oppress people and their beliefs to show your professed superiority.
The No Kings protest was valid and meaningful. Yes, we will proudly use our entitlement to protest.
This country, for hundreds of years, has had individual rights, protections, due process, privileges and opportunities built on the backs of thousands of lives sacrificed, and by honest and honorable men.
Have you overlooked the advantages you’ve had? Those securities are being challenged by this current administration as he seeks to weaken the masses by undermining programs that have kept us informed and protected including those that had elevated us to world power and favor.
Further, his methods are being used to weaken this nation with fear, divisiveness, racial ideology, and with lies that look to shift the balance of power to his hands alone.
