A new consignment store has opened in Park City, aiming to offer style-savvy locals a way to shop sustainably without compromising on luxury.
RE Park City is the brainchild of two business veterans who are combining fashion-forward thinking with an eco-conscious approach.
Co-owners Eileen Mullane and Jennifer Redington have transformed their love for fashion and sustainability into a shopping experience in which high-end clothing, handbags and accessories find new life.
The boutique offers a 50/50 split and a 60-day consignment period. Payments are made to consigners at the end of every month. Items that don’t sell can be donated by the store or picked up from the consigner.
“I think we are at an opportunity point right now,” Mullane said. “The resale business in general has grown 20% a year over the last few years, largely driven by younger people. They are interested in sustainability. No more fast fashion.”
Mullane is no stranger to the consignment scene. She’s best known as the former owner of Right at Home, a Park City consignment store that served the community for decades. With her retail expertise and connection to the community, she brings a wealth of knowledge to the venture.
Redington, on the other hand, brings a fresh perspective. With a lifelong passion for fashion and a professional background in health care and technology, she combines creativity with strategic business acumen.
Together, the pair has redesigned the consignment experience in Park City.
“We accept appointments at the store Thursday through Saturday,” Mullane said. “We also offer a concierge service if someone has a lot they would like to consign. Jennifer will go to their home and meet with the client.”
Shoppers can expect a handpicked selection of high-end fashion items, from designer handbags and modern accessories to timeless wardrobe staples.
“We accept items that are good quality, trendy and we focus mostly on quality brands like Eileen Fisher, staying away from what you might find at other stores,” Mullane said. “No shoes right now, but there is a bit of a lobby to get us to carry shoes.”
At RE Park City, the owners hope to extend a sense of community beyond shopping. Their spacious venue serves as a hub for gatherings and events that bring people together. From cozy book clubs where readers can connect over their favorite novels to ladies’ nights out filled with laughter and conversation, they host a variety of events designed to inspire and unite.
They have an upcoming pop-up event, Recycled Bling, on Sunday, July 13.
“I love being part of the community. It gives me energy,” Mullane said. “This is more than a store; it’s a destination for style and sustainability.”
RE Park City is at 1100 Iron Horse Drive, Unit B, open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
