I am writing today, as chief of the Park City Fire Department, to express our profound gratitude for the exceptional support we receive from both the Park City Police Department and the Summit County Sheriff’s Office.
The recent, tragic ambush of three firefighters in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, that resulted in two fatalities and one injury served as a stark and painful reminder of the inherent dangers faced by all first responders.
In the wake of such a somber event, it truly underscores how incredibly fortunate the Park City Fire Department is to have such dedicated and protective partners in law enforcement.
Our working relationships with both Chief Carpenter and the Park City Police Department and Sheriff Smith and the Summit County Sheriff’s Office are invaluable. The commitment shown by both departments in ensuring the safety of our fire personnel is consistently outstanding, and it’s a level of support that we deeply appreciate.
On behalf of the entire Park City Fire Department, I want to publicly thank both the Park City Police Department and the Summit County Sheriff’s Office for their unwavering dedication to our community’s safety and for always having our backs.
