I met Diego Zegarra shortly after I moved to Park City in 2006. He was always at or helping with some community event we were attending. He was very congenial and he, my husband and I became friends at that time.
I was delighted when he began working for the Community Foundation, and I attended many programs that he planned and directed. I found them to be informative, intelligent, thoughtful and helpful.
I always felt delighted to be at any program he moderated, and I was especially pleased when I was on the Women’s Giving Fund Grants Committee, which Diego facilitated. With his direction we were able to complete making a choice of who would get the grants in one afternoon instead of coming back for two days as planned.
All the members of the committee were pleased with our results, as well as the fact that we were able to get it done in less time than expected.
I believe that Diego would also use his talents to be helpful for our city council to become more efficient in making good decisions, choices and actions for our community as well.
