Park City summers are legendary.
The proximity of mountain trails offers countless opportunities for recreational pursuits to satisfy just about any craving—rigorous, multi-peak mountain bike rides, leisurely strolls in the park, long hikes traversing the Wasatch Back, or road bike rides that lead to a gourmet restaurant for lunch. Ensuring a body is fit enough to undertake these significant mountain-forward physical feats requires some love and maintenance. Park City fitness studios can help individuals stay active and achieve their recreational goals through a variety of movement and strength training options.
Park City Yoga Collective

In less than five years, Kimball Junction-based Park City Yoga Collective has become a community-favorite yoga studio. Head of Training Kelley Sandahl says, “PC Yoga Collective was created as a space where teachers could feel valued and empowered, for clients to have world-class instruction at an affordable price, and for both to connect in a beautiful, inviting, and supportive environment.”
When the studio opened, the signature experience included a beautifully curated lobby featuring local gifts and hot yoga in an infrared-heated room. In response to a growing number of participants and interest, PC Yoga Collective expanded by opening the B Side in May of 2023. “The community fell in love with the space immediately, and it has grown exponentially,” Sandahl continues. “Because it’s a non-heated space, we are able to offer deeper levels of inquiry and self-study, such as meditation, sound baths, kundalini, yin, and restorative yoga. The B Side is also used as our training space, where people come from all over the country to take our 200-hour YTT and 300-hour advanced teacher trainings.”
The Beau Collective
Located at Junction Commons, The Beau Collective serves up HIIT-style classes with enthusiasm and flair. “We’ve served thousands of Parkites these last 10 years,” says founder and coach Whitney Kozlowski. “To survive the pandemic in 2021, we made the pivot to add a legit retail operation, and now we have refined the model: retail box up front, fitness party in the back.”
While fitness is the most well-known offering, Kozlowski says that connection and community are at the heart of the business. “People in Park City value fitness and wellness. I love how we’ve made the dreaded gym experience fun over the years,” she continues. “We are serious about taking it lightly, we bring out the best in people, and we hold space for the heavy that will always be a part of life. We have offered accountability, delight, and consistency for all members.”

There are over 20 classes a week ranging from HIIT, heavy lifting, and HYROX training, plus run club and sunrise hikes. “FLEX passes are available easily for summer visitors all through our app,” Kozlowski explains. “Our shop is open daily starting at sunrise and features some of our favorite brands for gifts, goods, and gear we love. Experiential retail is our thing.”
The Fieldhouse
Tucked along the Swaner Preserve in Kimball Junction, Park City’s community recreation center, The Fieldhouse, is a stunning facility that houses state-of-the-art amenities. Fitness Associate Supervisor Allison Panos, describes the campus: “The Fieldhouse is home to weight rooms, cardio equipment, an indoor track, a 14,000 square-foot gymnasium, and an outdoor lap pool and hot tub. Adjacent to the facility is a splash pad, which is free to the community and open seasonally.” There are three studio spaces for fitness classes, as well as an indoor turf field.
“Basin Recreation offers over 80 group fitness classes per week designed to keep you active, engaged, and feeling your best,” Panos says. “Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or just beginning your fitness journey, our experienced instructors cater to all levels and abilities. All equipment for fitness classes is provided, and advanced registration is required.” Some of the most popular offerings include Power Hour, Senior Fit, yoga, spin, and dance classes.
RISE Boxing

Maryguenn Vellinga-Hinz established RISE Boxing in Jeremy Ranch in May 2018, aiming to foster a community that uplifts, challenges, and motivates members to achieve greatness in all aspects of life. She discusses how boxing facilitates self-discovery. “[In boxing] we are not in our comfort zone, then we add in doing something hard. When we are pushed to a limit in anything, that is a place where we discover things about ourselves,” she explains. “We grow the most when we get into uncomfortable situations and we move through them.”
The classes offered at RISE challenge participants to grow, and Body+Box, Box+Build, and Breathe+Box are all open to first-time boxers. The precision movements, high-intensity training, and calorie-burning benefits attract newcomers; yet it is the combination of physical demand and mental perseverance that gets people hooked.
