Heber City Police reported responding to a bear sighting Saturday near the Wingpointe Apartments pool.
They said the bear, a young brown-colored black bear, crossed Main Street toward the Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office and hosptial. Later, it was spotted at On the Run gas station and then the Royal Coachmen.
Police officers treed the bear, and Division of Wildlife Resources officers safely tranquilized and captured it.
The tale was a big hit on the Police Department’s Facebook site, with 712 likes and such, 115 comments and 117 shares.
