Discover the New and Improved Oakley Diner Experience

Oakley Diner is buzzing with exciting updates this summer. The new management team is a group of familiar faces who have worked behind the scenes over the past few years and are now stepping into the spotlight. Jimmy Bell, after years of exceptional work as chef de cuisine, has been promoted to executive chef, and Jeff Stewart, the new general manager, is overseeing daily operations.

“We’re excited to bring new flavors and experiences to the Oakley Diner as we head into the summer season,” Stewart explains.

The menu is getting some love from Bell too. Oakley Diner will continue classics like the Oakley burger and the Reuben while introducing fresh new options including the standout fish tacos while the always popular pork chop is getting an upgraded sauce to take it to new culinary heights.

For those needing a sweet treat, the milkshake menu has expanded, offering even more ways to enjoy their brand of retro diner vibe. “We’re rolling out a handful of exciting new milkshakes, including S’mores and Strawberry Confetti,” continues Stewart.

“Whether you’re a local or coming over from Park City, we’ve got a fresh, new vibe and some delicious surprises waiting for you!”

Oakley Diner is also offering recurring weekly specials that add a dash of fun and flavor to any week. Stop by for Taco Tuesdays, savor bold broths on Ramen Wednesdays, or indulge in Fish Fry Fridays.

Summertime hours are extending to 9 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, with plans to keep the doors open until 10 pm as the season heats up.

Chef Stuart Roger Brings a Taste of the Alps to Waldorf Astoria Park City

Chef Stuart Roger has recently joined the Waldorf Astoria Park City as the new executive chef and now leads the resort’s culinary vision across Powder restaurant, in-room dining, private events, and even poolside menus.

“Joining Waldorf Astoria Park City is a true privilege,” he says. “My goal is to elevate the resort’s cuisine, crafting dishes that not only satisfy but tell a story.”

Raised in the Alps and shaped by both French and Scottish roots, Chef Roger brings with him a culinary approach that fuses alpine heritage with refined global technique. At Powder, guests can expect a sophisticated interpretation of mountain cuisine.

“His deep appreciation for seasonal ingredients, locally sourced produce, and globally inspired flavors aligns perfectly with our resort’s culinary vision,” says Charles Hill, general manager. “With his creativity, keen attention to detail, and diverse experience, he will play a key role in shaping an exceptional dining experience for both our guests and the local community.”

Chef Roger’s résumé reads like a passport through the world’s most esteemed kitchens. He’s honed his craft at Joël Robuchon’s two-Michelin-starred restaurant in Monaco, and at Le Moulin de Mougins under the guidance of the late Roger Vergé in the South of France. He also spent five years collaborating with globally celebrated chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten at his acclaimed restaurants in Mexico, delivering refined technique and bold, worldly flavors on every plate.

Now, Chef Roger is taking on Park City’s food scene. “I’m excited to create unforgettable dining experiences that highlight global influences while celebrating the richness of Park City’s seasonal offerings and local artisans,” he says.

With an eye toward storytelling, a palate shaped by decades of Michelin-level experience, and a deep respect for ingredients, Chef Roger is poised to make Waldorf Astoria Park City a culinary destination all its own.
