Newcomers Club Monthly Coffee
The Newcomers Club of Greater Park City will host its free monthly social at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 14 at Park City Community Church, 4501 N. S.R. 224. ‘Art As Identity’ Discussion
The Kimball Art Center, 1251 Kearns Blvd., will host a free discussion “Art As Identity,” a collaboration with Encircle House, a Provo-based LGBTQ+ resource organization, at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 15. All are welcome to the event, a conversation celebrating trans stories through art and an exploration of the role transgender art plays in today’s culture. Park City Film Screenings
Park City Film will host a free screening of Titus Kaphar’s “Exhibiting Forgiveness,” rated R, at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, at the Park City Library’s Jim Santy Auditorium. It will also present a weekend screening of Jeremy Power Regimbal’s documentary “Between the Mountain and the Sky,” not rated at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, May 16 and 17, and at 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 18. “Exhibiting Forgiveness” is about a painter, played by André Holland, who struggles to forgive his father. “Between the Mountain and the Sky” is about the trials of humanitarian Maggie Doyne, guardian of more than 50 Nepalese children. YouTheatre’s ‘Alice’ at the Egyptian Theatre Studios
The Egyptian Theatre YouTheatre will present “Alice” at 5 p.m. on Friday, May 16, and 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, at the Egyptian Theatre Studios, 330 Main St. The production, performed by an all-youth cast, follows Alice down the rabbit hole into Wonderland.
