Thanks, as usual, to Clara Hatcher for her reporting on the case of the road rage shooting of Patrick Hayes.
It seems that this case has become a high profile criminal case involving heightened public interest, controversy and intense emotions. The April 23 hearing which set a date for a preliminary hearing in June demonstrated the tensions between the families and friends of the shooter and the victim.
I am calling here for an increased involvement of a third group of folks — members of the general public who are interested in justice served in this case and are willing to attend court hearings in addition to being vocal in social and other media about their questions and observations.
This is in the public’s interest and for the sake of avoiding future road rage occurrences that can end up in tragedies like the one in this case.
