An unresponsive 25-year-old man recreating at Woodward Park City was transported to the hospital by a medical helicopter on Sunday, according to a shift report from the Summit County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to Woodward after ski patrollers located the man on top of the mountain and began CPR. Ski patrollers then transported the man to the base area, and first-responders with the Park City Fire Service District took over life-saving measures.
The man was ultimately loaded into an “air ambulance” and transported to the University of Utah Hospital.
There was no update on the man’s condition available as of Monday afternoon.
The Summit County Sheriff’s Office responded to multiple other calls between Monday, March 31, and Sunday, April 6, including fraud, driving under the influence and a wrong-way driver.
Saturday, April 5
A driver on Interstate 80 displayed signs of impairment and performed poorly on field sobriety tests during a traffic stop. Deputies arrested the driver for allegedly driving under the influence.
Friday, April 4
Deputies responded to a retail parking lot in Kimball Junction for a threat-in-progress call. The complainant reported two men threatening another person with a knife, but they left in a white passenger car before deputies arrived. Deputies obtained video footage from the complainant, and the case is under investigation.
Thursday, April 3
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with a plate lamp violation. They discovered the passenger of the vehicle had a protective order against the driver. The driver was arrested and transported to the Summit County Jail.
An adult man reported that his juvenile son had sent explicit photos to an unidentified person on TikTok and that the TikTok user was now requesting money. The juvenile reportedly sent $3,000 to multiple different Venmo accounts to pay the TikTok user. The case is under investigation.
Tuesday, April 1
Summit County Dispatch received reports of a wrong-way driver on the eastbound off-ramp of U.S. Highway 40. Deputies located the vehicle traveling eastbound on S.R. 248 and initiated a traffic stop. The driver displayed signs of impairment and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. Deputies arrested the driver for allegedly driving under the influence and transported him to the Summit County Jail. The vehicle was impounded.
