The Hub in Heber

If walls could talk, The Hub in Heber Valley would have stories galore. The Hub was purchased by co-owners Mohamed Mohamed and Devin Johnson in 2022 and has a rich history that dates to 1933. The original building burned down in 1964 and was rebuilt in the current location in 1965. This eatery welcomes guests with a laid-back vibe and a menu that feels like a warm hug on a chilly morning. After a recent remodel and menu change up, The Hub reopened in December 2024. Still known for its hearty breakfast options, this long-time fan favorite combines timeless recipes with local charm, creating a perfect gathering space for friends and families.
“We own the gas station next store, and the place has so much history,” Johnson explains. “So many of our customers have told us amazing stories of The Hub. The building had given all it had to give, it was tired and needed to be refreshed. But it needed more than paint; we didn’t want to see the thing go away; it had been there for so long.”
Enjoy classics like golden waffles topped with fresh fruit, or dive into their savory country-fried steak. Everything is scratch made; and all the proteins are cut fresh daily. Families enjoy the Bento Box children’s menu and locals are still enjoying the Utah Scone that has remained on the menu for decades.
“We ensure the customers get quality and fresh ingredients daily; that was the biggest part of the menu change,” Mohamed continues. “We wanted to make it more of an elevated family restaurant and give Heber what it had been asking for.”

Luna’s Kitchen & Juicery
Luna’s Kitchen proves that eating gluten-free can mean indulging in delicious, flavorful food without compromise. This Park City hot spot, owned by Stacy Smyth, caters to those with gluten sensitivities and anyone simply seeking a fresh and satisfying meal.
“Owning [Luna’s Kitchen] has a purpose, giving people that cannot normally eat out a safe space to enjoy fresh, tasty foods,” Smyth says. “I do a lot of research, digging into ingredients, I am looking to ensure there is no gluten in the item of the facility they make the product in. That is something you must be really careful about.”

The menu offers a range of creative grab-and-go items, perfect for your morning commute or weekend adventure. Pair a savory avocado egg bite with one of their raw, cold-pressed fresh juices, and you’ve got a power-packed start to the day. Craving something sweet? Your taste buds will not believe the cinnamon rolls are gluten-free.
“We have people that are not even gluten-free, who come back because the food is that good, and we take pride in what we do,” she adds.

The Bake Shop
For those who crave baked goods done right, The Bake Shop is a dream come true. Every item here is made entirely from scratch by the owner, Paige Courtney, who is self-taught. She and her husband, John, also own Chop Shop across the parking lot, and if you have one of the fantastic sandwiches there, you have had Paige’s homemade bread.
“We saw a need in the community to have more baked goods,” Paige explains. “There was a need on our end as well. Chop Shop needed more bread to fulfill its needs. Instead of looking outward, we looked inward, and we did it!”

From perfectly hand-laminated croissants to rich, velvety quiches, her attention to detail and love for quality local ingredients shine through in every bite. Located in a cozy space that smells like what heaven might, The Bake Shop is the perfect place to linger over a cup of coffee from their state-of-the-art coffee system from Poursteady, offering pour-over coffee using LaMill beans and a fresh sweet or savory item from the case. Even a Jambon Beurre sandwich, Paige’s favorite, would hit the spot early in the morning.
