The Vail Resorts leadership spent time in Park City this week for a meeting of the board of directors and executive team members.
“While here, the group spent time touring the mountain with resort leadership and team members,” said Emily McDonald, communications manager at Park City Mountain.
The visit coincided with sunny skies, a storm blowing through, and 10 inches of fresh powder on Thursday morning, all the glories of spring skiing. The week also brought skiers and riders up the Pioneer lift for the first time this year, thrilled to access the area on a fresh powder day.
Vail Resorts will hold its quarterly earnings results conference call on Monday, during which executives will review the company’s second-quarter financial results. This will be the first public call since the Park City Professional Ski Patrol Association strike, which began on Dec. 27 and ended Jan. 7, and sparked big conversations across the nation about the company and their leadership. The call also comes after a letter sent to the board by Vail Resorts shareholder Late Apex Partners on Jan. 27 calling for the ouster of company executives.
