My husband, Peter O,Malley, and I were skiing at Park City last week, Jan. 26. Unfortunately, on Thursday he fell. He skied back to the Miners Camp Lodge, where a ski instructor called ski patrol.
Ski patroller Dudz responded quickly and asked many questions, especially ones that involved memory, since Peter said he hit his head. Peter was wearing a helmet.
Peter was taken by sled to the bottom of King Kon Lift, then by snowmobile and eventually by van, directly to the Mountain Clinic.
Peter received excellent medical care at the Mountain Clinic. Because he sustained a pelvic fracture, the attending physician recommended he be transported to Park City’s hospital. He received excellent care at the hospital ER ward.
Once he was released, the staff at the front desk helped get us a taxi (Grab A Cab) back to our rental condo.
We are very grateful for the excellent care and compassion shown to us during this stressful time. Those who attended us from the ski patrol were professional, competent and compassionate.
