Ice Castles is an award-winning frozen attraction located in Midway. The experience is built using hundreds of thousands of icicles hand-placed by professional ice artists. The castles include breathtaking LED-lit sculptures, frozen thrones, ice-carved tunnels, slides, fountains and much more.

The exhibit is free and can be seen whenever the Library is open. The majority of the exhibit is on the Library’s second floor. Karen resides in Park City, where her love for nature drives her life and her passions and is reflected in her art. As an artist, Karen hopes to elicit a feeling or an emotion in viewers, whether it is through subject or bold color.

The Wasatch County Library is proud to host an exhibition of photographs by local artist Georgia Haneke, who draws inspiration from her love of animals, nature, and the scenic beauty of Heber Valley. In honor of the 100th anniversary of film in Utah, this exhibition showcases contemporary artists who explore film as both a medium and a metaphor. Experience a thrill of a lifetime in a bobsled on the Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Winter Games Sliding Track on our Winter Bobsled Experience. The track was home to bobsled, skeleton and luge events during the 2002 Salt Lake Olympic Winter Games. One of our professional pilots takes passengers on a thrilling ride down the 2002 Olympic track.

Amazing Butterflies Exhibition

Through this hands-on maze of larger-than-life leaves, grass and trees, visitors experience the challenges of being a caterpillar as it morphs into a beautiful butterfly. 2025 Intermountain Health Freestyle International Ski World Cup

Deer Valley Resort welcomes the world’s most elite ski athletes to compete at the 2025 Intermountain Health Freestyle International Ski World Cup. This annual event held on the resort’s world-renowned slopes will feature the globe’s top athletes in moguls and aerials. All events are free and open to the public. No bags allowed.
Lost Gems of Sundance — Film Series

Anders Osborne

Known as a prolific songwriter and for his unique style of guitar playing, Anders Osborne will be performing with special guest Brad Walker. Osborne describes his 17th full-length album, Picasso’s Villa, “a condensed story about living in America between 2018-21.”

Chocolate Lovers Train 2025

Join our evening race series at Soldier Hollow this winter! 2025 Snowshoe with a Naturalist

Deepen your knowledge of Solitude and Big Cottonwood Canyon with tour stops that focus on geology, winter ecology, watershed history and wildlife. This 45-minute tour is free, available to all levels and no registration is required. Meet at 1 p.m. near the map at the top of Moonbeam Express to start the tour.

Saturday Morning Nature Walks

Join us for a nature walk on the Preserve with one of Swaner’s naturalists! We explore wetland science, natural plant and animal species and the history of the Swaner Preserve. Pre-registration is required for all Saturday Nature Morning Walks. Walk-ins are not available at this time and all tours are capped at 15 participants. Registration closes at 7 a.m. the day of the scheduled nature walk.

Climb through Swaner’s ecosystem from the bedrock to the uplands on our indoor climbing wall. The climbing wall is open Saturdays and Sundays with time slots starting between 1:30 – 3 pm.
