Make your plan to vote in November! Did you know that only 52% of eligible Utahns voted in the 2022 election? This year, more than ever, it is important to bring our voices to the ballot box. We can no longer sit on the sidelines. We must participate so we have an elected official representing us and bringing more balance to our legislature. Our legislature is in dire need of moderating forces.
Are you aware that our state legislature is a supermajority, voting as a block, often opposing the will of their constituents? A few examples: Our legislature continues to promote the development of fossil fuels, worsening our state’s hazardous air quality. They recently voted in a special session to put a constitutional amendment on the ballot allowing the Legislature to repeal citizen-led initiatives. They exempted the daily calendars of elected officials from disclosure. The list goes on.
A recent survey shows that one of Utah voters’ biggest complaints is that representatives don’t listen to them. That is the key issue here in our district. A review of the incumbent’s record reveals that he is merely a rubber stamp for the supermajority. He is not representing the unique needs and values of our district. It is time for new leadership!

She has lived in our district for 30 years after getting her MBA from the University of Utah. She is well informed and prepared by her three-decade career at IBM consulting with federal, state, and local governments on strategies for data-driven decision-making.
