Megan McKenna is my choice for the Summit County Council Seat C. She has deep roots in our community having been raised in the Snyderville Basin.
Megan earned her bachelor’s in biology and chemistry while holding multiple service jobs. These experiences enhance her understanding and empathy for the working people who are so critical to the success of our economy.
She joined the Park City Ski Patrol and ultimately worked there while obtaining her master’s degree in science education. For 11 years, Megan worked at Park City High School teaching Earth Science, Biology and AP Environmental Science.
There are few better ways to keep connected in a community than by teaching. Her transition to working in the Housing Resource Center with Mountainlands Community Housing Trust offered an opportunity to dive deeply into understanding the housing challenges in Summit County.
The background of being born and raised in Summit County, working through college and graduate school, teaching our children in the public school system, and ultimately devoting her work with Mountainlands to improve the urgent housing problems here makes Megan McKenna the best choice for Summit County Council Seat C. Megan has proven her commitment to this community.
Megan’s life is here in Summit County. She wants to work for all of us to make it a better place where diversity of cultures, incomes, and experiences can thrive. Through her work history, she is a proven public servant.
