I’m for Megan McKenna. As a true local member of our workforce and a woman, Megan represents a much-needed perspective on the Summit County Council as we consider balancing change and maintaining the unique character of Summit County’s communities.
Megan worked diligently to keep people safe as a ski patroller for 11 years, to educate our children as a teacher for 11 years, and now as an advocate for those who have not always felt represented in the political process. She has been a dedicated and loyal member of our community for over three decades. A proven track record.
Having grown up here, Megan sees the big picture and applies her skills to addressing our community’s most enduring problems. Like most of us, Megan believes that we are in the midst of a housing challenge that won’t be solved by simply saying “No.” She’s ready to bring smart solutions to the table. She believes that our county will be a better place to live for everyone if people who are the backbone of our community — teachers, firefighters, ski patrollers, health-care workers, restaurant and resort workers — can also afford to live here.
