I will be supporting Thomas Cooke in the June Summit County Council Seat “C” primary.
As a former Park City Council member and a Summit County commissioner (now called County Council), I learned that good things don’t just magically happen. It takes years of sustained effort to implement positive change. It’s easy to talk, and harder to do. And in order to do — to get things done — you need experience, expertise and knowledge.
Thomas has served us well as a Snyderville Basin planning commissioner for over seven years, serving as both the vice chairperson and chairperson. He has extensive experience working with our general plan and land management code. I’ve watched him in action, in person, for the 11 Planning Commission meetings dealing with the Dakota Pacific/Tech Park issue. He was analytical, incisive and always well prepared. He was one of the five planning commissioners who forwarded a negative recommendation to the County Council.
As a 31-year resident, Thomas cares deeply about our community and has the expertise to help protect it. He has worked hard on our behalf and earned and deserves your support. My wife, Susan, and I will be voting for Thomas in June. Please do so as well.
