On behalf of the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity of Summit and Wasatch Counties, I would like to thank Park City Mountain and Vail Resorts EpicPromise for again hosting Habitat’s spring Gratitude Gathering.
Between the Gathering and our Overall Ball in 2023, Habitat was able to grow every dollar Park City Mountain donated into a $5 investment in affordable housing. We are deeply grateful to have such a generous partner with a strong commitment to our community and affordable housing for our essential workforce.
Habitat provides a path to owning a home with an affordable mortgage and a place where families can thrive and invest back in our community. This month, we welcome six new families as they move into their new homes. Each family relied on Habitat to help them cross hurdles of buying a home, including financial education training and obtaining an affordable mortgage.
Habitat families buy and move into houses they own. Through their partnership with Habitat, families in our Homeownership Program give our community stability through owning their own home. Habitat families learn through sweat equity and financial classes which sets them up for success.
Similarly, the generous grant from Park City Mountain and Vail Resorts EpicPromise enables our organization in creating more opportunities for the families who work here to also live here.
