Miners boys lacrosse falls to Colorado opponent Saturday
The Miners boys lacrosse squad fell to their Colorado opponent Cherry Creek on Saturday 13-6. The game was the second of two on a Colorado roadtrip last week, with Park City also having fallen to Valor Christian from Colorado last Thursday. Park City now sits at 5-2 overall and 1-0 in regional play on their season, with nine regular season games left to go. The Miners will have a few more days off before facing Bingham Thursday at 5:30 p.m. on the road.
Miners boys soccer defeats Springville Friday, falls to Tooele Monday
The Miners boys soccer squad went 1-1 over a four-day stretch beginning last Friday, defeating Springville 3-2 in a shootout Friday and falling to Tooele 3-1 Monday. The results move Park City to 3-4 overall and 2-2 in regional play on the season, with just six regular season games left to go. The Miners will have a few days off before jumping back into action against Murray Friday at 3:30 p.m. on the road. Murray is 4-0 on their season; however, they have yet to face any Region 10 foes.
Miners baseball taking on Tooele on the road Wednesday
The Miners baseball squad will be taking on Tooele Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. on the road, as game two of a three-game series. Game one will be held at home Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. and game three Thursday again in the same time and at the same place. Park City sits 8-5 overall and 2-1 in regional play this season entering the season, following Friday’s 7-2 rivalry game victory over Wasatch. The Tooele series is one of four series left in the Miners’ regular season.
Miners boys volleyball taking on Wasatch in rivalry contest Wednesday
The Miners boys volleyball squad will be taking on Wasatch Wednesday in a rivalry contest. Park City enters the game 7-5 overall and 2-2 in regional play, also on a two-game win streak. The Wasps are 6-7 overall and 2-3 in regional play on their season. Including this game, the Miners have nine regular season contests left in their inaugural season. The 4A playoff bracket will be released May 1, with first-round play commencing at home sites on May 4.
Jazz go winless over the weekend, facing the Clippers Friday
The Utah Jazz went winless over the weekend, falling Friday to Houston 101-100 and Sunday to Sacramento 127-106. The losses bumped the Jazz to 29-46 on their season, where they now sit 12th in the Western Conference. Utah is 11.5 games back of Golden State for the 10th and final spot in the Play-In Tournament, from which they were mathematically eliminated last week. It is the Jazz’s second-straight season missing the playoffs after six-straight in them from 2016-22. Next up for Utah are the Cleveland Cavaliers, whom they’ll take on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Delta Center, before hitting the road to face the Los Angeles Clippers Friday at 8:30 p.m.
