The article in the weekend paper concerning traffic issues was right on the button. I was sitting at the stop light at 224 and Holiday Ranch Loop behind a Park City police car, and two drivers speeding down 224 ran the light.
I fully expected the police car to react to that, but the officer did not. Running red lights seems to be accepted here. Why?
Are we in such a rush to just let the safety of others be disregarded? I realize that S.R. 224 is a state roadway but within the city limits, I expect our law enforcement officers to stop speeders and red light runners.
Are traffic control cameras an option? I have seen them in use in other states and countries and they seem to make drivers aware of their actions and the consequences of their actions.
