Glenn Wright of Park City announced Friday he will run for Congress in the Third District, which
covers Carbon, Daggett, Duchesne, Emery, Grand, Salt Lake, San Juan, Summit, Uintah, Utah, and Wasatch counties.
Wright served on the Summit County Council from 2016-22, in 2021 as chair. He said his mission is to help Utahns overcome hardships by solving economic challenges, reaffirming independent agency, and preserving the Constitution — creating a path to prosperity and freedom.”
From his work on the Utah Association of Counties board, Wright said knows Utahns can benefit from their representatives working with diverse political backgrounds and opinions.
“No Utahn should face threats to their economic security and freedom or shoulder the hardships imposed upon them by decisions of the privileged few,” he said. “Utahns are shouldering unprecedented challenges. The few with the attitude of ‘I’ve got mine, and it sucks to be you’ will
fight to maintain their economic advantage and continue their attacks on the Constitution and your freedom.”
