As we approach the holiday season, I’m thankful for Recycle Utah volunteer David Nicholas and his team for their efforts in cleaning up our community in 2023.
Since April, David and over 675 volunteers picked up almost 90,000 pounds of litter over 43 events this season. If you drove Deer Valley Drive, 224, Highway 40 or I-80 frontage roads on a weekend this summer, it’s likely you saw David wearing a big straw hat and a yellow vest.
Recycle Utah connects David and his team with various groups from the NCL, to the Winter Sports School, to neighborhood volunteers to keep our community clean on a regular basis.
Special thanks to Park City Municipal, Summit County and Basin Recreation for assisting in bag pickup after each event.
