Two died Friday afternoon on U.S. 40 in a head-on collision in icy conditions near Strawberry Lake.
The Utah Highway Patrol reported that at 4:39 p.m., a gray Dodge Ram driving by a 37-year-old male was eastbound on U.S. 40 near milepost 47 and traveling too fast for the conditions.
The driver lost control, and crossed into the westbound lanes as a black Honda Accord occupied by a male driver, 21, and female passenger, also 21, were heading westbound and impacted the truck.
The male driver of the Ram was deceased on the scene, as was the female passenger of the Accord.
The male driver of the Accord was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
