First thing, I am not eligible to vote in Park City elections, but I have been involved in many projects in Park City since 1996 and given that Park City and the Snyderville Basin have a symbiotic relationship, I feel compelled to support Ed Parigian for one of the City Council seats.
I’ve known Ed since he arrived in Park City in 2006 through mutual friends that lived in our neighborhood in Pinebrook. Since then, we have spent countless hours going to concerts, snowboarding(Ed skis, but that’s OK), recreating out at the Jordanelle and Starvation, mountain biking the White Rim and hitting golf balls at the Municipal course. Ed and I had a short career as online broadcasters for the Park City Moose hockey team and have teamed up for an occasional football broadcast.
In all that time, I have come to appreciate the attention to detail that Ed brings to the table, his knowledge and understanding of the issues confronting our communities and willingness to listen to all points of view before deciding on a path forward.
Ed and I have had many discussions regarding elements of that path, and we share a common love of Park City and the locals experience, and we live that experience through our many activities in support of local non-profits and community participation.
Ed will make an excellent addition to the Park City Council due to his passion in support of locals, his understanding of the challenges facing our community, and will strive to engage the community in finding sensible solutions to these challenges.
Vote for Ed, the locals’ choice.
