Having already wrapped up their regular season two weeks ago, the Wasatch Wasps snuck into the playoffs with the bracket reveals last Saturday. While the Wasps had done so last season with the same 3-6 record, they were one of the final teams to make the cut. Wasatch will even get to host their playoff opener against the Orem Tigers Friday at 4 p.m. The Tigers, who have nine state titles to their name, winning four straight from 2017 to 2020, have similarly struggled this season, boasting a 4-6 record to date. With a win, the Wasps would advance to play the top-seeded Timpview Thunderbirds in the second round on Oct. 27.
