The Wasatch Wasps closed their regular season out on a high note last Friday, defeating the Cedar Valley Aviators 35-21 on their home turf. The win moved the Wasps to 3-6 on the season, a mark that leaves their playoff chances doubtful, yet still in play. Last season, Wasatch made the playoffs with a 3-6 regular season record, going on an impressive run all the way to the state quarterfinals, before getting trounced by eventual 5A finalists Timpview. This year’s Wasps team will find out their postseason fate on Saturday, when all UHSAA playoff brackets are revealed at 10 a.m.
