Amanda Louise Barnett, of Edmonds, WA, lived a life as vibrant and beautiful as the world she cherished. With a heart full of the Aloha spirit, she brought warmth and love to everyone she met. Amanda, born on a sunny March day in 1971, passed away on September 28, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of joy, resilience, and boundless love.
Amanda was an educator and taught at The Park City Day School, she helped her husband Chad grew a successful small business. With her love of fashion, she and her mother Marge opened Changes Boutique at Redstone in Park City, but above all, she was a loving mother to her cherished children, Cooper and June. She embraced every moment of parenthood, filling their lives with laughter and wonder. Her journey from Washington State to her current home in Park City, started in 1998 with a pit stop in Winter Park, CO with her partner in crime and soon to be husband, Chad.
Amanda’s love for all living creatures was palpable, exemplified by her deep connection with her rescue dogs she has had through the years. Their bond was a testament to her compassion and unwavering commitment to making the world a better place for those in need.
A true adventurer at heart, Amanda’s favorite place on this Earth was Hawaii, where she reveled in the beauty of the islands, the ocean’s embrace, and the Aloha spirit that flowed through her soul.
A dedicated hockey, lacrosse and swim mom, Amanda forged lifelong friendships through her children’s activities. She cheered with gusto from the sidelines, creating a supportive and tight-knit community of friends who will forever cherish her infectious laughter and radiant smile.
Amanda faced life’s challenges with incredible courage and resilience. More than a decade ago, she was diagnosed with cancer, a battle she fought with unwavering strength until her final days. She refused to let the disease define her or dictate her life, becoming an inspiration to all who knew her.
Amanda leaves behind a loving family who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. Her husband of 22 years, Chad, stood by her side through every storm and every sunny day. Her 2 Children, Cooper, 19, currently studying at Chapman University in California and June, 17, a Senior at the Fountain Valley School in Colorado. Her mother, Marge, and sister, Beth, will remember her as the beacon of light and love that she was.
As we bid farewell to Amanda Louise Barnett, we celebrate a life well-lived, one filled with boundless love, laughter, and the Aloha spirit. Though she may be physically gone, her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Amanda’s legacy is a reminder to us all to embrace life with a smile, cherish our loved ones, and live each day with the same unwavering spirit of Aloha that she shared so generously.
A celebration of life will be held in November in Park City, UT. in lieu of flowers, kindly make a donation to her one of her favorite charities.
