On Sunday, Oct. 8, at 11:48 a.m., the police received a report of a compressor that was operating for “hours” in the area of Hidden Court, a small street in Solamere. The person who contacted the police mentioned noise, but public department logs did not provide details. The police classified the case as a citizen assist rather than a criminal matter.
On Saturday, Oct. 7, at 11:03 p.m., a deer carcass was removed from the road somewhere in Deer Valley. Public police logs did not specify the road. The carcass created a traffic hazard, the police said.
A vehicle was seen parked in the wrong direction on Main Street, as well as on the sidewalk, at 5:03 p.m. The police said the owner was found and immediately moved the vehicle. The police at 8:29 a.m. received a complaint about a truck on Piper Way that had, according to the person who contacted the agency, was idling the engine for longer than 30 minutes. The police logged the case as a suspected violation of City Hall’s rules against idling.
Someone contacted the police at 7:20 a.m. about a chicken carcass in the street on Little Kate Road. The person wanted the carcass removed and indicated there “seems to be a lot of dead birds in the area,” according to public police logs.

Someone on Kings Court contacted the police at 9:15 a.m. about trucks that were left in a location where parking is prohibited. The police were told one of the trucks was left on a sidewalk.
On Thursday, Oct. 5, at 10:29 p.m., a bus collided with a deer on Bonanza Drive in the area of the intersection with Deer Valley Drive. It was not clear from public police logs whether the bus was part of a transit system or a private-sector firm. Public police logs did not provide details about the condition of the deer or damage to the vehicle.
A police officer at 8:36 p.m. pulled over a vehicle after, according to the agency, the driver did not yield to an emergency vehicle on Park Avenue.

On Wednesday, Oct. 4, at 5:41 p.m., vehicles were reported to have been left on the sidewalk on Heber Avenue.
On Tuesday, Oct. 3, at 5:30 p.m., the police received a complaint about a construction crew working on Ontario Avenue without flaggers. The person was “upset,” according to public police logs.
On Monday, Oct. 2, at 9:41 a.m., the police received information about two trucks that were struggling on the upper reaches of Marsac Avenue as a result of the road conditions. The trucks were “starting to slide,” apparently on a road that was a “sheet of ice.”
Graffiti was reported at the skate park at City Park at 8:13 a.m. Public police logs did not provide details about the contents of the graffiti. The police logged the case as suspected criminal mischief.
